Andrew Kramer, Founder & President

Prescient Healthcare Consulting was founded in 2015 by Dr. Andrew Kramer to fill a void in healthcare outcomes, namely the development of actionable intelligence that can be embedded into healthcare systems. Prescient creates predictive models with alerts and triggers that can be used in an acute care hospital to improve patient outcomes. These solutions can be embedded within a hospital’s decision support system to deliver real-time updates on a patient’s severity of illness, as well as enable retrospective analysis for quality improvement initiatives. Prescient will also provide professional services in support of its solutions and consult on research projects. For a list and full explanation of Prescient’s services, please click here.

Dr. Kramer is the co-developer of the following predictive model systems in the intensive care unit: APACHE IV, APACHE IVa, MPM-III, and OASIS. From 2003 through 2015, Dr. Kramer worked for Cerner Corporation, the last five years as Senior Manager of Critical Care Research.
